THE KING OF COLORS
Few colors manage to transcend eras and languages. Red is one of them. Over time, it has evolved into a symbol rich with meaning—a cross-cultural code. From this awareness comes Rosso Pelle, the talk organized by Lineapelle and NCS Colour Centre Italia, scheduled for Monday, June 16, 2025, at Spazio Lineapelle in Piazza G. Tomasi di Lampedusa.
This event centers on the profound essence of red, exploring its power in design and iconography, especially in connection with leather as a narrative material. Across all creative fields—design, art, fashion, and lifestyle—red maintains a surprising centrality. It is a color that withstands the test of time, evolving without losing its symbolic energy. Rosso Pelle aims to explore these many facets through a dialogue between disciplines, eras, and materials, with special attention to the use of red in leather—a living, changeable surface that continues to tell stories.
A CONSTANT DIALOGUE
The talk will be divided into two sessions. At 5:00 PM, designer and critic Gianluca Sgalippa will analyze red as a transversal design tool, between aesthetics and function. At 6:00 PM, cross-cultural fashion advisor Orietta Pelizzari will reflect on the ritual value of red and its role in contemporary lifestyle.
Rosso Pelle does not just aim to highlight the expressive potential of red, but to offer new perspectives on a color that has always inspired collective imagination. It’s an opportunity to discover how red and leather continue to interact within today’s visual culture.
