SHE WAS A MERMAID - Alessandro Enriquez

From 21 to 25 September 2023, Alessandro Enriquez lit up Spazio Lineapelle with new colours, telling “a story of love, fashion and culture.”

THE MEDITERRANEAN IN MILAN

Telling the Mediterranean in Milan. It is a story of love, of fashion, of culture. On the occasion of the new Lineapelle Designers Edition, Alessandro Enriquez presented a palimpsest of events from 21 to 25 September 2023. Four days, during which the stylist interpreted his idea of fashion in a highly personal and scenographic way. Entitled ERA UNA SIRENA (She was a mermaid) – a tribute to Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, Alessandro Enriquez’s project illuminated Spazio Lineapelle and the square it overlooks with an unusual light.

THE FIRST TIME

For the first time, Alessandro Enriquez designed, made and included in the collection an unprecedented series of leather garments. Nappa leather sequins embroidered with fish scales, weaves like fishing nets, and natural colours inspired by the Mediterranean. A debut in leather celebrated through a joyful and floral setting that served as a backdrop on the opening day (21 September) for the concert “Futura: viaggio nella poetica rivoluzionaria di Lucio Dalla” (Futura: a journey into the revolutionary poetics of Lucio Dalla) by singer-songwriter Lidia Schillaci and the projection of the fashion movie “Era una Sirena” (It was a Mermaid), inspired by the novel by Tomasi di Lampedusa.
